Do you know what this is?
Conner and I went for a walk last week and there were many of these on the sidewalk that had fallen from the trees. He wanted to bring one back to the house with him. I told him he could but to be careful because it has sharp points and could give him an ouch.
He wanted to show his dad his treasure that he had found. He walked up to Lance and said "daddy look an ouchie ball"!

I have seen these and Nikki uses them in her dried flower arrangments but I have no idea what they are except some kind of seed pod.
"isn't this sweetgum? in georgia they're all over, and you don't want one in your yard. they make thousands of those seed pods (sticker balls)"
I looked it up on google, also called a gumball tree!
